Site Description: Zhejiang University is a regular university directly under the Ministry of Education and jointly built by the provinces and ministries. It is one of the first batch of key universities to enter the national "211 Project" and "Project 985". The predecessor of Zhejiang University, Qiushi Academy, was established in 1897 and is one of the earliest modern higher education institutions established by the Chinese themselves. In 1952, during the national adjustment of higher education institutions, they were divided into multiple single subject schools, and some departments were merged into sister universities. In 1998, Zhejiang University, Hangzhou University, Zhejiang Agricultural University, and Zhejiang Medical University merged to form the new Zhejiang University. After more than a hundred years of construction and development, the school has become a research-oriented and comprehensive university with a solid foundation, strong strength, distinct characteristics, and a first-class level in China, with significant international influence.
