Site Description: In June 1992, some professors from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Peking University, and Tsinghua University initiated the establishment of Shanghai Shanda University (formerly Shanda University). It was approved by the Shanghai Higher Education Bureau on August 11, 1992 and officially established on February 17, 1994. It is the first private ordinary university in Shanghai with higher education qualifications. In March 2002, the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China officially approved Shanghai Shanda College to be established as a regular university at the undergraduate level, and it is also the first private ordinary university in Shanghai with undergraduate education qualifications, under the leadership of the Shanghai Municipal People's Government. In August 2005, the Shanghai Academic Degrees Committee approved the addition of our college as a bachelor's degree awarding unit. Shanghai Shanda College has two campuses in the Pudong New Area of Shanghai and the Jiashan area of Zhejiang Province, with its headquarters located at 2727 Jinhai Road, Pudong, Shanghai; The two campuses have a total land area of 808 acres and a building area of 245000 square meters; The total assets of the school amount to RMB 676 million.
