Site Description: Overview of Weifang Medical College: The school's predecessor was the Shandong Province Changwei Medical College, established in 1951. It was expanded to Changwei Medical College in 1958 and renamed Weifang Medical College in 1987. In 1986, it was approved by the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council to become the third batch of master's degree awarding units in China. Since 2002, the school has jointly trained doctoral students with Shandong University, Southern Medical University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and others.
