The predecessor of Linyi Normal University was Binhai Jianguo College, jointly founded by the Communist Party of China Binhai District Committee and the First Branch of the Anti Japanese University in May 1941. Afterwards, it went through development stages such as Binhai Public School, Linyi University, Shandong Education Cadre School, Linyi Normal College, and Linyi Education College. In March 1999, the Ministry of Education approved the merger of Linyi Normal College and Linyi Education College to establish Linyi Normal College. In September 2001, with the approval of the People's Government of Shandong Province, Linyi Industrial School and Linyi Agricultural School, formerly known as the Industrial and Agricultural Departments of Linyi University, were re merged. In December 2003, the People's Government of Shandong Province issued a document approving the establishment of Linyi Normal University

The predecessor of Jining Medical College was the Jining Medical School in Shandong Province, founded in 1952. In 1958, it was renamed as Jining Medical College and enrolled the first undergraduate students; In 1959, it was renamed as Jining Medical College; In January 1987, with the approval of the former National Education Commission, it was renamed as Jining Medical College

Heze Medical College is a provincial general higher medical institution founded in 1950, formerly known as Pingyuan Provincial Health School. Mount Taishan Medical College, formerly known as the Loude Branch of Shandong Medical College, has run its own school since 1974. In 1980, it moved from Loude to Tai'an. In 1981, it was approved by the State Council and the People's Government of Mount Taishan Province and named as "Taishan Medical College". In 1998, it was approved by the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council and became a master's degree granting authority unit. In 2004, obtained the right to apply for a master's degree award from individuals with equivalent academic qualifications. Over the years, the school has taken serving economic and social development as its own responsibility, inheriting tradition, working hard, and making significant progress in various aspects such as teaching, medical treatment, scientific research, and management. During the "Tenth Five Year Plan" period, the school firmly seized the strategic opportunity of structural adjustment and rapid development of higher education, made decisive decisions, and seized the opportunity to move forward. In 2002, nearly 3000 acres of land were requisitioned to build a new campus, which was listed as a key construction project in Shandong Province and Tai'an City. The construction of the new campus has significantly increased the school's educational resources, continuously expanded its scale, expanded its professional fields, and improved the quality and level of education and teaching. In 2006, it was rated as an excellent university in the undergraduate teaching level evaluation by the Ministry of Education.

Overview of Weifang Medical College: The school's predecessor was the Shandong Province Changwei Medical College, established in 1951. It was expanded to Changwei Medical College in 1958 and renamed Weifang Medical College in 1987. In 1986, it was approved by the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council to become the third batch of master's degree awarding units in China. Since 2002, the school has jointly trained doctoral students with Shandong University, Southern Medical University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and others.

Qingdao Agricultural University was founded in 1951 and has undergone changes such as Laiyang Agricultural School, Laiyang Agricultural College, Laiyang Agricultural University, and the restoration of Laiyang Agricultural College. In 2007, it was relocated from Lixia District, Jinan City to Changqing University Science and Technology Park. It is the only independent medical university in Shandong Province and an excellent university evaluated by the Ministry of Education for its undergraduate teaching level.

Shandong Agricultural University is located at the foot of the magnificent Mount Taishan Mountain. Its predecessor is Shandong Higher Agricultural School, which was founded in Jinan in 1906. After several changes, Shandong Agricultural College was established in 1952 after nationwide departmental adjustments. In 1958, it moved from Jinan to Tai'an and was renamed Shandong Agricultural University in 1983. In July 1999, with the approval of the People's Government of Shandong Province, Shandong Agricultural University and Shandong Water Conservancy College were merged, while Shandong Forestry School was merged to form the new Shandong Agricultural University.
