Site Description: The predecessor of Linyi Normal University was Binhai Jianguo College, jointly founded by the Communist Party of China Binhai District Committee and the First Branch of the Anti Japanese University in May 1941. Afterwards, it went through development stages such as Binhai Public School, Linyi University, Shandong Education Cadre School, Linyi Normal College, and Linyi Education College. In March 1999, the Ministry of Education approved the merger of Linyi Normal College and Linyi Education College to establish Linyi Normal College. In September 2001, with the approval of the People's Government of Shandong Province, Linyi Industrial School and Linyi Agricultural School, formerly known as the Industrial and Agricultural Departments of Linyi University, were re merged. In December 2003, the People's Government of Shandong Province issued a document approving the establishment of Linyi Normal University
