The Business School of Yunnan Normal University was established in 2000. Yunnan Normal University is a provincial key normal university with a long history and excellent traditions, located in the spring city of Kunming. Born in 1938 amidst the war of resistance against Japan, its predecessor was the Normal College of National Southwest Associated University. In 1946, Peking University, Tsinghua University, and Nankai University, which formed the United Nations University, were demobilized and returned to the north. The Normal University was established independently in Kunming and named National Kunming Normal University. In 1950, it was renamed Kunming Normal University, and in 1984, it was renamed Yunnan Normal University. In 1999, Yunnan Normal University merged with Yunnan Education College and Yunnan Institute of Physical Education to establish a new Yunnan Normal University. Over the past 70 years since its establishment, the school has adhered to the motto of Southwest Associated University of China, which is "resolute and outstanding", and has formed a school spirit of "learning high, being upright, possessing moral integrity and wisdom". Yunnan University was founded in 1922 as a private Donglu University, renamed as the provincial Yunnan University in 1934, and renamed as the national Yunnan University in 1938. In 1937, Xiong Qinglai, a famous mathematician and educator, became the president, and a large number of well-known scholars gathered, including Gu Jiegang, Wu Wenzao, Liu Wendian, Chu Tunan, Yan Jici, Hua Luogeng, Shiing-Shen Chern, Feng Youlan, Fei Xiaotong, which laid a high foundation for the development of the school and laid a deep academic foundation, creating the first brilliant period in the history of Yunda. In 1946, the Concise Encyclopedia Britannica listed Yunnan University as one of the 15 world-renowned universities in China.

The predecessor of Guizhou Industrial Vocational and Technical College was Guizhou Provincial Chemical School, founded in 1958. In March 2002, it was approved by the provincial government to be upgraded to an independent vocational college named "Guizhou Science and Technology Engineering Vocational College". Since its establishment, with the strong support of the provincial party committee, government, and various departments directly under the provincial government, the school's educational strength has been continuously enhanced, and the level of education has been continuously improved. It has developed from a single discipline to a multi-disciplinary approach, It has covered fields such as chemical, biopharmaceutical, electromechanical, electrical, computer, construction, materials, water conservancy, electricity, transportation, mining, e-commerce, logistics, etc. With the approval of Provincial Government Letter [2009] No. 21, the college was renamed Guizhou Industrial Vocational and Technical College on February 1, 2009.

Qiannan Vocational and Technical College for Nationalities, approved by the People's Government of Guizhou Province in August 2001, was formed by the merger of Qiannan National Administrative School of National Key Technical Secondary School for Nationalities, Qiannan National Finance School of Provincial Key Technical Secondary School for Nationalities, Qiannan National Industrial School and Qiannan National Agricultural School. It is the only public full-time vocational and technical college in Qiannan Prefecture that is compatible with arts and science.

Guizhou Aerospace Vocational and Technical College, formerly known as Guizhou Aerospace Workers' University (1984) and Guizhou Aerospace Advanced Technical School (1976), was established in May 2000 with the approval of the Guizhou Provincial People's Government. It is under the jurisdiction of China Aerospace Science and Technology Group Corporation's 061 Base, and the competent department for teaching business is the Education Department of Guizhou Province. The college cultivates high-level and intermediate skilled talents in the production, management, and service frontline, mainly focusing on engineering and economic management disciplines, adapting to the needs of industry and local economic construction.

Zunyi Medical College is a key provincial medical college in Guizhou Province, located in the beautiful historical and cultural city of Zunyi. Formerly known as Dalian Medical College, founded in 1947, it is the first undergraduate medical college founded by the CPC. In 1969, in order to support the construction of the "third line", the State Council decided to relocate Juyuan to Zunyi and renamed it Zunyi Medical College. It is the only undergraduate university in China that insists on taking root in revolutionary old areas and has not been relocated. After 62 years of hard work and entrepreneurship, the school has made significant progress and has become a higher medical institution with coordinated development of multiple majors and disciplines.
