Site Description: Liaocheng University is a comprehensive university in Shandong Province. It is located in Liaocheng City, Shandong Province, a national historical and cultural city known as the "Jiangbei Water City". The school was founded in 1974 and was originally named Liaocheng Branch of Shandong Normal University. In 1981, it was approved by the State Council to be rebuilt as Liaocheng Normal University, and in 2002, it was renamed as Liaocheng University with the approval of the Ministry of Education. The current Party Secretary is Professor Cheng Yuhai, the doctoral supervisor, and the President is Professor Song Yiqiao, the doctoral supervisor. Mr. Ji Xianlin, a native of oriental studies, is the honorary principal of the school.
