Its predecessor was the Medical Specialized Department of Yunnan Provincial Donglu University established in September 1933 and the Medical College of Yunnan University established in 1937. It was established independently in 1956.   • Kunming University of Science and Technology

    Kunming University of Science and Technology was founded in 1954 and has now developed into a multidisciplinary university with a focus on engineering, a combination of science and engineering, and a coordinated development of multiple disciplines such as economics, management, and literature (including art).   • Yunnan University

    Yunnan University was founded in 1922 as a private Donglu University, renamed as the provincial Yunnan University in 1934, and renamed as the national Yunnan University in 1938.   • Guizhou Industry Polytechnic College

    The predecessor of Guizhou Industrial Vocational and Technical College was Guizhou Provincial Chemical School, founded in 1958. In March 2002, it was approved by the provincial government to be upgraded to an independent vocational college named "Guizhou Science and Technology Engineering Vocational College". Since its establishment, with the strong support of the provincial party committee, government, and various departments directly under the provincial government, the school's educational strength has been continuously enhanced, and the level of education has been continuously improved. It has developed from a single discipline to a multi-disciplinary approach, It has covered fields such as chemical, biopharmaceutical, electromechanical, electrical, computer, construction, materials, water conservancy, electricity, transportation, mining, e-commerce, logistics, etc. With the approval of Provincial Government Letter [2009] No. 21, the college was renamed Guizhou Industrial Vocational and Technical College on February 1, 2009.

  • Guizhou Aerospace Vocational and Technical College

    Guizhou Aerospace Vocational and Technical College, formerly known as Guizhou Aerospace Workers' University (1984) and Guizhou Aerospace Advanced Technical School (1976), was established in May 2000 with the approval of the Guizhou Provincial People's Government. It is under the jurisdiction of China Aerospace Science and Technology Group Corporation's 061 Base, and the competent department for teaching business is the Education Department of Guizhou Province.   • Zunyi Medical College

    Zunyi Medical College is a key provincial medical college in Guizhou Province, located in the beautiful historical and cultural city of Zunyi. Formerly known as Dalian Medical College, founded in 1947, it is the first undergraduate medical college founded by the CPC. In 1969, in order to support the construction of the "third line", the State Council decided to relocate Juyuan to Zunyi and renamed it Zunyi Medical College. It is the only undergraduate university in China that insists on taking root in revolutionary old areas and has not been relocated.   • Guiyang Medical College

    Guiyang Medical College was established on March 1, 1938, formerly known as "National Guiyang Medical College", and is one of the earliest nine national higher medical colleges in China under the Ministry of Education. On December 24, 1950, according to unified national regulations, it was renamed as "Guiyang Medical College" and placed under the management of the Guizhou Provincial Government. It is currently a provincial key higher education institution in Guizhou Province and the only medical doctoral degree awarding unit in the province.

The foundation of Guiyang University is Guiyang Normal College and Guiyang Jinzhu University. The two ordinary colleges have a history of 26 and 20 years, respectively, and have formed outstanding educational characteristics. Through adjustment, joint construction, and merger, they complement each other's advantages and are upgraded to a teaching oriented multidisciplinary undergraduate college. It is the only ordinary higher education institution organized by the People's Government of Guiyang City.

    Guizhou University is a key comprehensive university in Guizhou Province, a university jointly built by the People's Government of Guizhou Province and the Ministry of Education, and a key university under the national "211 Project". Guizhou University was founded in 1902 and has gone through various stages including Guizhou University, Provincial Guizhou University, National Guizhou Institute of Agriculture and Technology, and National Guizhou University. After the establishment of New China, it was named Guizhou University in October 1950. In November 1951, Comrade Mao Zedong personally inscribed the name of the school. In 1953, the departments of higher education institutions nationwide were adjusted and suspended, and Guizhou Agricultural College was established at its original site. In 1958, Guizhou University was restored and rebuilt, and in the same year, Guizhou Institute of Technology was established. In August 1997, Guizhou University, Guizhou Agricultural College, Guizhou Art College and Guizhou Agricultural Management Cadre College were merged into Guizhou University, becoming the only provincial key comprehensive university with key investment and construction under the framework of the "211 Project", and also one of the key universities supported by the Ministry of Education in the western province (region). In August 2004, Guizhou University merged with Guizhou University of Technology to form the new Guizhou University.
