Hengshui College is a provincial-level, multi-disciplinary, full-time regular undergraduate higher education institution approved by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. The college is located in Hengshui City, Hebei Province, the first provincial-level "comprehensive development experimental city" along the Beijing Kowloon Line. Beijing Jiulong Railway and Shide Railway, Beijing Kaifeng Expressway and Taiqing Expressway, Beijing Jiulong and Jishitaiyin communication optical cables converge and intersect here. Hengshui has become an important transportation and communication hub starting from Beijing in the north, reaching Kowloon in the south, connecting Beijing and Shanghai in the east, and connecting Beijing and Guangzhou in the west, as well as a large distribution center for emerging people flow, logistics, and information flow. Hengshui Lake, located ten kilometers from the urban area, is the first national wetland nature reserve in North China.

Hebei Radio and Television University is an open university that utilizes various media such as computer courseware, internet, radio, television, text and audiovisual materials for distance education.

Hebei North University is located in Zhangjiakou, a famous city outside the Great Wall, known as the "North Gate" and "Back Garden" of Beijing. Integrating the spiritual heritage of the Great Wall grassland and the essence of Zhangyuan culture, it has a long history of education and profound cultural accumulation. It is the only comprehensive undergraduate institution in northern Hebei Province with the right to confer master's degrees.

Baoding Vocational and Technical College was established in September 2000 by the merger of Hebei Baoding Agricultural School and Baoding Finance and Taxation Cadre Vocational School, under the jurisdiction of the Baoding Municipal People's Government. Hebei Baoding Agricultural School was founded in 1935 and has undergone changes. It has changed its name and has held vocational, vocational, and undergraduate education. It has been recognized as a national and provincial key agricultural university multiple times. Baoding Finance and Taxation Cadre Vocational School was founded in 1985 and is a provincial-level key vocational school. After more than 70 years of education, the college has trained more than 40000 specialized talents for society and made positive contributions to local economic construction and social development. The accumulated educational philosophy of "rooting in the front line and serving society" has become a valuable asset for the continuous development of the college's education industry.

Shijiazhuang Railway University is a university with a focus on engineering and coordinated development of multiple disciplines such as humanities, science, economics, and management. It is under the jurisdiction of Hebei Province, jointly built by the central and local governments, and mainly managed by Hebei Province. The college was founded in 1950, formerly known as the Railway Corps Engineering College of the People's Liberation Army of China. It was a national key higher education institution at that time, and was one of the first batch of newly admitted units and the first batch of engineering bachelor's degree awarding units in military academies. In 1984, it was merged into the Ministry of Railways and renamed Shijiazhuang Railway College. In 2000, it was transferred to Hebei Province and listed as a key backbone university in Hebei Province.

Hebei Institute of Architecture and Engineering was founded in August 1950, initially named Zhangjiakou Technical School, renamed as Chahar Institute of Technology in 1951, renamed as North China Institute of Technology under the leadership of the North China Administrative Committee in February 1952, and became Zhangjiakou Institute of Architecture and Engineering under the Ministry of Architecture and Engineering of the Central People's Government in May 1954. In July 1958, it was transferred to Hebei Province and renamed as Zhangjiakou Institute of Technology Zhangjiakou Construction Engineering College and Zhangjiakou Construction Engineering School. In 1978, with the approval of the State Council, it was upgraded to a regular higher education institution and named Hebei Institute of Architecture and Engineering. It is the only regular higher education institution in Hebei Province that specializes in cultivating senior technical talents in architectural engineering.

Baoding College is a school with a history of over a hundred years. It was founded in 1904 and was initially known as the "Baoding Junior Normal School". Its founder was the famous modern educator Yan Xiu. In 1909, it was renamed as "Zhili Second Junior Normal School", and in 1928, it was renamed as "Hebei Provincial Second Normal School" along with the province. After the establishment of the People's Republic of China, it was named "Baoding Normal School". In 1978, with the approval of the State Council, Baoding Normal College was renovated. On March 16, 2007, the Ministry of Education officially issued a document approving the upgrading of Baoding Normal College to a regular university at the undergraduate level and renaming it as Baoding College.

North China University of Science and Technology is under the jurisdiction of the State Administration of Work Safety, and its predecessor was the Beijing Coal Management Cadre College Branch invested and constructed by the former Ministry of Coal in 1984. In 1993, it was restructured as North China Mining Higher Vocational College and enrolled students nationwide; In 1997, it was rated by the former National Education Commission as one of the 27 demonstration higher engineering colleges in China. In 2002, it was upgraded to a regular undergraduate institution and renamed North China University of Science and Technology. The college recruits regular full-time undergraduate and vocational students nationwide.

Hebei Tourism Vocational College is located in Chengde, a world-renowned historical and cultural city and tourist destination. The college was approved by the People's Government of Hebei Province in June 2006 and was formed by the merger of the former Chengde Tourism Vocational College and the former Chengde Vocational College. The college's predecessor was the Jehe Agricultural and Forestry College, which was founded in 1950. Hebei Tourism Vocational College is the only comprehensive vocational college in Hebei Province that mainly cultivates tourism professionals, and is the chairman unit of Hebei Tourism Vocational Education Group.

Hebei University of Finance, founded in 1952 by the Baoding Bank School, is a secondary professional school directly established by the head office of the People's Bank of China, specializing in cultivating talents for banks. It later went through development stages such as Hebei Finance School and Hebei Bank School. In 1984, it was upgraded to a junior college, namely Baoding Financial College. In 1991, it was renamed Baoding Financial College. In 2000, it was transferred to the People's Government of Hebei Province and implemented a management system of "central and local co construction, with local management as the main focus". In March 2007, it was upgraded to a undergraduate institution and renamed Hebei University of Finance. It is the only central and local co built institution with distinct financial characteristics in North China and Northwest China.

Shijiazhuang Vocational and Technical College (formerly Shijiazhuang University) was founded in 1984 and is a full-time regular higher education institution approved by the Ministry of Education and sponsored by the Shijiazhuang Municipal People's Government; It is a training base for skilled and scarce talents in the fields of computer application and software technology, industrial and civil architecture, as determined by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Information Industry, and the Ministry of Construction; It is a key demonstration vocational college in Hebei Province.

Xingtai College, formerly known as the Fourth Junior Normal School of Zhili, was founded in 1910 (the second year of Xuantong) and is one of the four normal schools established at that time. Currently, it is the only university in Hebei Province that has been continuously built, inherited, and developed on its original site through a single lineage transmission. After the establishment of the Republic of China in 1912, it was renamed Zhili Fourth Junior Normal School, formerly known as Hebei Province Fourth Normal School, Xingtai Normal School, etc. It was upgraded to Xingtai Normal College in 1984. In March 1996, it merged with the original Xingtai Education College and Xingtai Economic Management Cadre School to establish Xingtai Normal College. In 2002, it was upgraded to a undergraduate institution with the approval of the Ministry of Education.
