Site Description: Baoding College is a school with a history of over a hundred years. It was founded in 1904 and was initially known as the "Baoding Junior Normal School". Its founder was the famous modern educator Yan Xiu. In 1909, it was renamed as "Zhili Second Junior Normal School", and in 1928, it was renamed as "Hebei Provincial Second Normal School" along with the province. After the establishment of the People's Republic of China, it was named "Baoding Normal School". In 1978, with the approval of the State Council, Baoding Normal College was renovated. On March 16, 2007, the Ministry of Education officially issued a document approving the upgrading of Baoding Normal College to a regular university at the undergraduate level and renaming it as Baoding College.
