    The School of Science and Technology of Nanchang University is a comprehensive and independent undergraduate college approved by the Jiangxi Provincial Development Planning Commission and the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Education on August 1, 2001, which was declared and established by Nanchang University. The college is located in the eastern part of Nanchang, where there are many universities and talents, covering an area of 600 acres, including 54 acres of Qingyuan campus and 550 acres of Qingshan Hunan campus. The college has 43 advantageous undergraduate majors from Nanchang University, targeting enrollment from 26 provinces (cities) across the country. Currently, there are 11921 full-time undergraduate students. In 2003, in accordance with the spirit of the document "Several Opinions on Standardizing and Strengthening the Management of Independent Colleges in Ordinary Universities through New Mechanisms and Models" (Jiao Fa [2003] No. 8) issued by the Ministry of Education, the college seized the opportunity and standardized its operation. At the end of that year, it was recognized by the Ministry of Education as one of the first independent colleges in China that met the requirements. In 2005, experts from the Ministry of Education conducted a special inspection on our school and achieved good results. We have received full recognition from experts in terms of educational ideology, educational philosophy, educational and teaching management, and educational quality.     Jiujiang Vocational and Technical College is a full-time ordinary higher education institution established in 1999 with the approval of the Ministry of Education. Its predecessor was Jiujiang Shipbuilding Industry School, founded in 1960, and it was successively affiliated with the former Ministry of Machinery Industry and China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation. In 1994, with the approval of the former National Education Commission, higher vocational education was established. In April 1999, the school was transferred to the management of the People's Government of Jiangxi Province by the National Defense Science and Technology Commission.
