The School of Science and Technology of Nanchang University is a comprehensive and independent undergraduate college approved by the Jiangxi Provincial Development Planning Commission and the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Education on August 1, 2001, which was declared and established by Nanchang University. The college is located in the eastern part of Nanchang, where there are many universities and talents, covering an area of 600 acres, including 54 acres of Qingyuan campus and 550 acres of Qingshan Hunan campus. The college has 43 advantageous undergraduate majors from Nanchang University, targeting enrollment from 26 provinces (cities) across the country. Currently, there are 11921 full-time undergraduate students. In 2003, in accordance with the spirit of the document "Several Opinions on Standardizing and Strengthening the Management of Independent Colleges in Ordinary Universities through New Mechanisms and Models" (Jiao Fa [2003] No. 8) issued by the Ministry of Education, the college seized the opportunity and standardized its operation. At the end of that year, it was recognized by the Ministry of Education as one of the first independent colleges in China that met the requirements. In 2005, experts from the Ministry of Education conducted a special inspection on our school and achieved good results. We have received full recognition from experts in terms of educational ideology, educational philosophy, educational and teaching management, and educational quality. Gannan Normal University was founded in June 1958 and is one of the two provincial-level undergraduate normal universities in Jiangxi Province with an earlier history. It is also one of the two normal universities in Jiangxi Province with the right to confer master's degrees. Jiangxi Applied Technology Vocational College is located in Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province, the cradle of Hakka and the Song City of Jiangnan. It was founded in 1958 and was formerly known as Jiangxi Geological College (1958~1965, undergraduate), Jiangxi Geological School (1973~1979), Ganzhou Geological School (1979~1994), and Southern Industrial School (1994~2002). It has been rated as a national key vocational school twice. In 2002, it was upgraded to Higher Vocational and Technical College, under the jurisdiction of the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Land and Resources. It is a full-time general higher education institution with a focus on engineering and a coordinated development of multiple disciplines such as engineering, economics, management, and humanities.

Jiangxi Dayu Vocational and Technical College is a full-time, comprehensive vocational (vocational) level private ordinary higher education institution approved by the People's Government of Jiangxi Province and registered by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. Ms. Chen Xiangmei, Chairman of the United States Council for International Cooperation, inscribed the name of the college and established the "Chen Xiangmei Scholarship"; Academician Pan Jiluan, an academician of the CAS Member, a professor of Tsinghua University and doctoral supervisor of Nanchang University, served as the consultant of the College. Jiujiang Vocational and Technical College is a full-time ordinary higher education institution established in 1999 with the approval of the Ministry of Education. Its predecessor was Jiujiang Shipbuilding Industry School, founded in 1960, and it was successively affiliated with the former Ministry of Machinery Industry and China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation. In 1994, with the approval of the former National Education Commission, higher vocational education was established. In April 1999, the school was transferred to the management of the People's Government of Jiangxi Province by the National Defense Science and Technology Commission. In July of the same year, it was approved by the Ministry of Education to be restructured as Jiujiang Vocational and Technical College. It is the only vocational college directly under the Provincial Department of Education in Jiangxi Province and a key construction vocational college in Jiangxi Province. In 2004, the school was listed as a basic laboratory institution jointly built by the central and local governments. In 2007, it was listed as one of the first key construction units of national defense technology industry vocational education and training bases by the National Defense Science and Technology Commission. In October 2007, it was designated by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance as the construction unit of the "National Demonstration Higher Vocational College Construction Plan", achieving a zero breakthrough in the project in Jiangxi Province.

Jiangxi City Vocational College is a full-time comprehensive ordinary higher education institution approved by the People's Government of Jiangxi Province and registered by the Ministry of Education of China, with independent national higher education qualifications. Established in 1956, formerly known as the Nanchang Highway Engineering School of the Ministry of Transportation, it was upgraded to Jiangxi Jiaotong University in 1958 and renamed as Jiangxi Provincial Jiaotong School in 1973. In 1984, it established Jiangxi Jiaotong College and was upgraded to Higher Vocational and Technical College in 2002.
