Yan'an University is located in the revolutionary holy land of Yan'an. It is the first comprehensive university named by Comrade Mao Zedong and founded by the CPC. In 1941, the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China decided to merge Shaanbei Public School, China Women's University, and Zedong Youth Cadre School to establish Yan'an University, with Wu Yuzhang as the president. From 1943 to 1944, the Yan'an Lu Xun Academy of Arts and Literature, the Academy of Natural Sciences, the College of Nationalities, the New Character Cadre School, and the School of Administration were successively merged, with a history that can be traced back to 1937. During the difficult years of war, Yan'an University worked hard to implement the policy of applying what was learned, cultivated a large number of outstanding professional talents, and made important contributions to the victory of the Anti Japanese War and the Liberation War, as well as the prosperity and strength of New China. It has an important historical and special political position in the history of Chinese higher education.

Xi'an Peihua College is located in the birthplace of Chinese civilization and the picturesque ancient capital of the Thirteen Dynasties - Xi'an. The school is the first private undergraduate regular higher education institution approved by the Ministry of Education in the twelve western provinces and cities, and also the first private university in the western region to have the right to confer bachelor's degrees. Its predecessor was Xi'an First Civilian Women's Vocational School, established in 1928 with the approval of the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Education and organized by the Shaanxi Women's Vocational Education Promotion Association.

Xi'an Science and Technology Business Vocational College is a "management oriented, liberal arts and science compatible" higher vocational college approved by the People's Government of Shaanxi Province, registered by the Ministry of Education of China, and qualified to independently issue national higher education diplomas. Over the years, our college has seized the entry point of regional economic development and naturally formed three major professional course groups: economic management, rail transit management, and electronic technology. The predecessor of Xi'an Electric Power College was Xi'an Electric Power School, founded in 1953. In March 1994, it was upgraded to Xi'an Electric Power Higher Vocational College, under the jurisdiction of State Grid Corporation of China. Xi'an Electric Power College is the only ordinary electric power university in the Northwest Power Grid and Shaanxi Power Grid, with multi-level, multi specification, and multi type educational characteristics. For over fifty years, the school has adhered to the educational philosophy of "valuing moral education, being meticulous and practical, integrating industry with education, and serving the power industry", and has cultivated tens of thousands of high-quality skilled professionals and management cadres for the national power industry, earning the reputation of "Huangpu of Northwest Electric Power". In April 1999, Xi'an Electric Power College merged with Northwest Electric Power Workers' University to establish the Northwest Electric Power Workers' Training Center, achieving the sharing of educational resources.

Yulin University is located in Yulin City, a national historical and cultural city and a national energy and heavy chemical industry base. It is a comprehensive undergraduate college in Shaanxi Province.

Xianyang Normal University is a provincial-level undergraduate institution primarily focused on teacher education. The school was founded in May 1978, originally named "Xianyang Specialized Department of Shaanxi Normal University". In December 1978, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, Xianyang Normal College was established. In May 2001, Xianyang Normal College merged with Shaanxi Xianyang Education College established in 1983 to establish Xianyang Normal College. In October 2004, Shaanxi Radio and Television University Xianyang Branch was merged into Xianyang Normal University.

Shaanxi Institute of Technology is a multidisciplinary university with a long history and distinct educational characteristics. The school is located in Hanzhong City, a famous historical and cultural city in China known as the "Little Jiangnan in the Northwest". The abundant resources, outstanding talents, profound historical and cultural heritage, and beautiful natural environment provide unique conditions for the construction and development of the school. Xi'an Aviation Technology College was founded in 1956, formerly known as Xi'an Aviation Industry School. In 1985, with the approval of the former National Education Commission, it was upgraded to a vocational college and is a regular higher education institution with higher education qualifications approved by the Ministry of Education. The school is responsible for cultivating advanced applied technical talents for the aviation industry and local economic construction. The school adheres to the purpose of serving the industry and society, and adheres to employment orientation. Graduates are highly welcomed by aviation enterprises, institutions, and social employers, and the one-time employment rate of graduates has always been above 90% for a long time.

Xi'an Eurasian University is located in the cultural and educational center of Xi'an, a famous cultural city. This multidisciplinary full-time undergraduate ordinary university, approved by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, was established in 1995. The college coordinates the development of multiple disciplines, providing students with 4-year undergraduate education and 3-year higher vocational education. More than 20000 students have selectively completed their university studies in more than 40 professional fields in nine secondary colleges, namely, information engineering College, School of Foreign Languages, School of Business Administration, School of Finance and Trade, School of Architectural Engineering, School of Journalism and Communication, School of Art Design, School of Science and Technology and International College, according to their own strengths.

Xi'an University of Science and Technology is a jointly built university between the central and local governments, offering nationwide enrollment. Its predecessor was Shaanxi Institute of Machinery, formed by the merger of Beijing Institute of Machinery and Shaanxi University of Technology in 1972. In January 1994, it was renamed Xi'an University of Technology with the approval of the former National Education Commission. The school currently has three campuses in Jinhua, Qujiang, and Lianhu, as well as one science and technology park, covering a total area of over 1900 acres and a building area of nearly 700000 square meters.
