If you want to change others, it's better to change yourself first. When you change yourself, the magnetic field it brings will gradually change the people around you.
As I turned 45, I suddenly realized that I needed some changes to live a more meaningful and relaxed life.
So, I decided to start streamlining my life, eliminate unnecessary procrastination, and develop some healthy habits.
Over the past year, I have adhered to the following seven habits, which not only improved my life but also helped me rediscover myself.
1. Simplify Home Furnishings:
I started at home and gradually simplified the items. I sold things I no longer needed, donated clothes I didn't use frequently, and only kept those items that truly made me happy. This not only makes the home cleaner, but also reduces daily cleaning and organizing time.
2. Health priority:
I prioritize health. Daily exercise, whether it's walking, yoga, or jogging, has become my daily routine. I also pay more attention to diet, choose more vegetables and healthy ingredients, and stay away from junk food.
3. Time management:
I have learned to manage time better. A daily task list has been established to prioritize important but not urgent tasks. This allows me to no longer feel pressed for time and have more time to focus on my interests and family.
4. Meditation and Meditation:
Every morning and evening, I reserve a period of time for meditation and reflection. This helps me maintain calmness and balance, reduces stress, and improves self-awareness.
5. Getting closer to family and friends:
I have regained contact with my family and friends. I cherish the time with them and often organize gatherings or simple conversations. This has increased my social circle and brought more joy.
6. Learn new skills:
I have decided to learn new skills or hobbies to keep my brain active. I started learning to play the guitar and also tried new cooking styles. This has brought me joy and a sense of achievement.
7. Serving Others:
I have found some volunteer activities to serve others. Whether it's volunteer work or simply helping neighbors, it makes me feel more meaningful and grateful in my life.
Over the past year, these seven habits not only made my life simpler and healthier, but also made me reexamine my lifestyle and values.
I have found that streamlining my life is not about depriving me, but about focusing more on important things and enjoying the true joy of life. I am moving towards a healthier and happier future, and I firmly believe that these seven habits will continue to guide me forward.
