Site Description: Ningxia Normal University is a full-time regular undergraduate normal university led and managed by the People's Government of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. It is located in the historic city of Guyuan City at the foot of Liupanshan in the southern part of Ningxia. Its predecessor was "Liupanshan University" established with the approval of the Autonomous Region Party Committee in 1975. In 1978, with the approval of the State Council, "Ningxia Guyuan Normal College" was established on the basis of Liupanshan University, In 1993, it was renamed as "Guyuan Normal College". In October 2002, it merged with the original Guyuan Health School and was renamed as Ningxia Normal University in February 2006, officially upgraded to a undergraduate institution.
