Site Description: The predecessor of Gansu Agricultural University was the National Veterinary College founded in Lanzhou in October 1946. It was the only veterinary university in China at that time. In 1950, the school was renamed Northwest Veterinary College; In 1951, it was renamed Northwest Animal Husbandry and Veterinary College.
