Lijiang College of Guangxi Normal University was established on July 31, 2001. The predecessor of Guangxi Vocational and Technical College was Guangxi Labor University, founded in 1965. In 2002, the college was designated as a national key supporting demonstration vocational college, and in 2007, it became one of the first batch of demonstration higher vocational colleges in Guangxi.

Guangxi Agricultural Vocational and Technical College is a full-time regular higher education institution approved by the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in August 2002. Its predecessor was Guangxi Agricultural School, founded in January 1942.
