Sichuan Vocational and Technical College of Architecture is a national public higher vocational and technical college established with the approval of the Sichuan Provincial People's Government. The college originated from the Chengdu Urban Construction Engineering School established in 1956 and is located in Deyang City, Sichuan Province, under the jurisdiction of the Sichuan Provincial Department of Construction.

Xihua University is a provincial key comprehensive university approved by the Ministry of Education on April 16, 2003 and merged by the former Sichuan Institute of Technology and the former Chengdu Normal College. On September 25, 2008, with the approval of the Sichuan Provincial Government and the registration of the Ministry of Education, Sichuan Economic and Management Cadre College was merged into Xihua University. The predecessor of Sichuan Institute of Technology, Sichuan Agricultural Machinery College, was established in 1960. It is one of the comprehensive agricultural machinery colleges established by the country in seven major regions to achieve agricultural mechanization. In 1978, it was listed as a provincial key engineering university by the Sichuan Provincial Government and renamed Sichuan Institute of Technology in 1983.

The School of Foreign Affairs of Sichuan Normal University is a second level college established by Sichuan Normal University under the new mechanism, which is a public and private institution. The college is located on the east campus of Sichuan Normal University. The East Campus covers an area of over 1000 acres, with an elegant campus environment and beautiful scenery. It is known as the "garden style campus" and is an ideal place for learning and talent cultivation. The School of Foreign Affairs mainly cultivates high-level and intermediate specialized talents with a solid foundation in foreign languages, a wide range of knowledge, and the ability to proficiently use English for translation, management, research, and other work in departments such as foreign affairs, economy and trade, culture, technology, and tourism. Sichuan Vocational and Technical College for Industry and Commerce is a public full-time ordinary higher education institution authorized by the Ministry of Education and approved by the Sichuan Provincial People's Government. It is one of the first independent upgraded higher vocational and technical colleges in the province. The college is located in Dujiangyan Irrigation Project, a beautiful world cultural heritage site, a famous historical and cultural city, an excellent tourist city in China, the best charming city in China, and the hometown of longevity in China. It is only a 20 minute drive from Chengdu, the political, economic and cultural center of Southwest China.

Chengdu Textile Vocational College, formerly known as the "National Central Technical College", was founded in 1939 and is currently the only independent full-time textile vocational college in southwestern China. It is under the jurisdiction of the Education Department of Sichuan Province and is currently located in Xipu, Chengdu.

Sichuan University for Nationalities is a full-time undergraduate college organized by the Sichuan Provincial People's Government, which was upgraded and rebuilt from the original Kangding Ethnic Teachers College. The history of higher education in the Ganzi Tibetan region began in the 1940s.

Meishan Vocational and Technical College

In 2003, Sichuan Aerospace Vocational and Technical College was approved by the People's Government of Sichuan Province and registered with the Ministry of Education. It is a full-time regular higher education institution for nationwide enrollment. The college is affiliated to the Seventh Research Institute of China Aerospace Science and Technology Group, with a history of 42 years. It was formed by merging the former Sichuan Aerospace Senior Technical School and space industry School.

The liberal arts college of Sichuan Normal University is a full-time ordinary university (independent college) at the undergraduate level, which was established with the approval of the Ministry of Education and operates under a new mechanism and model.

Sichuan Engineering Vocational and Technical College is a public full-time ordinary higher education institution under the Sichuan Provincial Economic Commission. It is located in Deyang City, Sichuan Province, a national major technical equipment manufacturing base (more than 40 kilometers away from Chengdu urban area). The college was founded in 1959 and was renamed as a undergraduate institution from 1960 to 1962. It was named "Southwest Heavy Mechanical and Electrical College" and became one of the first higher vocational and technical colleges established in Sichuan Province in 2001. In 2005, with the approval of the provincial government, the original Deyang Education College was integrated into the college as a whole. In December 2006, it was identified by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance as one of the first (28) national demonstration vocational colleges in China, establishing the college's leading position among vocational colleges in the country.

Sichuan Cultural Industry Vocational College is a public full-time general vocational college registered by the Ministry of Education and supervised by the Propaganda Department of the Sichuan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China. It is the first independent higher education institution in China to cultivate high-quality applied and skilled talents for promoting the cultural system and cultural industry development. It is an important base for cultivating specialized talents in the cultural industry in Sichuan Province.
