Site Description: Shanxi College of Traditional Chinese Medicine is a young higher education institution of traditional Chinese medicine. The school was approved by the State Council for establishment in 1982. In 1986, the school accepted the original Shanxi Medical College Traditional Chinese Medicine University class. It was officially established in June 1989 and began accepting undergraduate students in the same year. In June 1999, the school passed the undergraduate teaching qualification evaluation organized by the Ministry of Education of China. Starting to recruit international students in 2002. In 2004, the school accepted the former Taiyuan Railway Central Hospital and Taiyuan Railway tuberculosis Hospital, and transformed them into the Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine of Shanxi College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. In April 2007, the school passed the undergraduate teaching level evaluation by the Ministry of Education with a "good" score. In February 2008, the school obtained the right to confer a master's degree and began recruiting master's students in 2009. The school has now become the center of traditional Chinese medicine education, research, and medical treatment in Shanxi Province.
