Site Description: Nanjing Transportation Vocational and Technical College is a full-time ordinary higher education institution established with the approval of the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government, under the jurisdiction of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Transportation. The college was formerly known as the "Jiangsu Provincial Transportation Cadre and Staff School" founded in 1953, and was named Jiangsu Nanjing Transportation School in 1964. Since 1996, with the approval of the Provincial Department of Education, the school has been offering five-year higher vocational education. In June 2001, with the approval of the provincial government, it was independently upgraded to Nanjing Transportation Vocational and Technical College. The college is an excellent institution evaluated by the Ministry of Education for the level of talent cultivation in vocational colleges, a construction unit of exemplary higher vocational colleges in Jiangsu Province, and a demonstration base for cultivating high skilled talents in Jiangsu Province.
