Site Description: Jiangxi Agricultural University is a multi-disciplinary university with advantages in agriculture and characteristics in biotechnology, with comprehensive development in science, engineering, agriculture, economics, management, literature, law, and education. It has the right to confer doctoral degrees and is one of the first units in China to confer bachelor's and master's degrees. The school is located in Nanchang Economic and Technological Development Zone, with a teaching land of 3950 acres. The campus environment is beautiful and the scenery is pleasant. The school dates back to the Agricultural College of National Chung Cheng University established in October 1940, renamed as the Agricultural College of Nanchang University in 1949, and established Jiangxi Agricultural College in 1952 based on it. In 1958, the General School of Jiangxi Communist Labor University was established. In 1969, Jiangxi Agricultural College and Jiangxi Communist Labor University merged. In November 1980, it was renamed Jiangxi Agricultural University.
