Site Description: Hunan Vocational College of Science and Technology was established with the approval of the People's Government of Hunan Province in August 2001 and sponsored by the China Vocational Education Association. It is the only public higher vocational college jointly built by the People's Government of Hunan Province and the China Vocational Education Association and the only one in the China Vocational Education Association system. The college adheres to the core values of "sincerity to the public, precision and joy in work", and the educational philosophy of "taking a personalized, diverse, and open path to cultivate high-quality and highly skilled talents". The goal is to create a first-class demonstration vocational college in China. In December 2003, the college was approved by the Ministry of Education as the only higher education institution in Hunan Province to pilot the establishment of a national demonstration software vocational and technical college. In December 2005, it successfully passed the evaluation of talent cultivation in vocational colleges by the Ministry of Education and was awarded an excellent level. In September 2007, it became a demonstration vocational college construction unit in Hunan Province.
