Site Description: Hangzhou University of Electronic Science and Technology is located in the famous historical and cultural city of Hangzhou. It is a higher education institution with outstanding electronic information characteristics, obvious advantages in economic management disciplines, and the infiltration of multiple disciplines such as engineering, science, economics, management, literature, law, and teaching. The predecessor of the school was Hangzhou Aviation Industry Finance School, founded in 1956. Approved by the State Council, Hangzhou Institute of Electronic Technology was established in 1980 and renamed Hangzhou University of Electronic Science and Technology in 2004. The school has successively been under the jurisdiction of central ministries such as the Fourth Ministry of Machinery Industry, the Ministry of Electronics Industry, and the Ministry of Information Industry. Since 2000, a management system of joint construction between departments and provinces, with provincial management as the main focus, has been implemented. In 2007, the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government and the National Defense Science, Technology, and Industry Commission jointly established Hangzhou University of Electronic Science and Technology, which is a key teaching and research university in Zhejiang Province. There are four campuses, including Xiasha, Wenyi, Dongyue, and Xiasha East, covering an area of over 2000 acres. Currently, there are over 26000 regular full-time students and over 2200 faculty members.
