Site Description: School Overview: Dalian Jiaotong University was founded in 1956. Its predecessor was Dalian Locomotive and Rolling Stock School and Dalian Railway College, which were under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Railways. In February 2000, it was transferred to the management of Liaoning Provincial Government and implemented a management system of "central and local co construction, with local management as the main focus". In May 2004, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, it was renamed Dalian Jiaotong University, which is the only higher education institution in Northeast China with rail transit as its characteristic.
