Site Description: Anhui University is a national "211 Project" key construction university and a key comprehensive university in Anhui Province. As the beginning of modern higher education in Anhui, the school was founded in 1928 in Anqing, the provincial capital at that time. During the Anti Japanese War, the school was forced to relocate westward and was temporarily dispersed. In 1946, it resumed operations and became the National Anhui University. In December 1949, it moved to Wuhu and underwent several adjustments. The school was relocated to Hefei City in 1956, and enrollment was fully resumed in 1958. With the great process of China's reform, opening up, and modernization construction, schools have entered the fastest and best period of development in history, especially after entering the ranks of national "211 Project" university construction, they have achieved leapfrog development. In November 2007, the school passed the undergraduate teaching level evaluation by the Ministry of Education with excellent results. At present, the school has fully launched the third phase of the "211 Project".
